I headed out for sunrise at Hornsea Beach on the East Yorkshire coast. Being a Hull Photographer living in the east of the city it's a very accessible location being only 15 - 20 minutes away from my doorstep. I arrived with plenty of time before sunrise but knew almost straight away the main event was not going to be that spectacular, the cloud was low and thick which is never a good formula for colourful skies. But not to waste the trip I tried some long exposures and Minimalist shots, I even squeezed in a selfie!
